Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

If you prefer to make your purchase by telephone please call our order line, in normal office hours, on 01856 731706.

For International customers a currency converter can be found at the top of each of the product pages of the website or in the menu to the left of each page.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order only. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling

All UK orders over £30.00 and weighing less than 1 kg are FREE post as long as you choose second class post. Orders under£30.00 are charged at a flat rate of £2.95 P+Pfor second class post or £3.50 for first class post. Orders weighing over 1kg will be charged at cost. If your order weighs over 1kg we will contact you and let you know the cost of postage. If a colour choice item showing as out of stock on the web site is put in the basket and brings the total to over the free postage level an email will be sent to you asking if you would like to order a substitute item. If not then the postage charge will be applied to your order. If the item is out of stock but showing as in stock on the web site, free postage will be honored.

We aim to dispatch all orders within 1-2 working days if possible although this time can become extended in busy periods. Please email or call to find out current dispatch times if required. An email will be sent to you to confirm dispatch. However your parcel will be delivered by the Royal Mail and the timing of delivery is not in our control.

The Post Office aims to deliver first class mail within 1-2 working days of dispatch and the vast majority are delivered within this time frame. Second class post has a delivery estimate of 3-5 working days.

But delays do happen, so it is always advisable to order in good time if your order is for a special occasion. If this is not possible and you are worried about your order arriving in time we suggest you choose the Royal Mail Special Delivery option at checkout. Special Delivery parcels are guaranteed to be delivered one working day after dispatch, weather permitting, Please note that Special Delivery is 1 working day after dispatch not 1 day after placing your order. Special Delivery guarantees can be suspended in severe weather conditions.

Most UK orders, will be sent Royal Mail second class post unless you choose First Class Post from the drop down postage option menu at checkout, second class will be used for free delivery parcels, and may need to be signed for. If you are not in then a card will be left and the parcel can be collected from your Post Office, or call the number on to arrange for your parcel to be redelivered at a time when you are at home. It is the customer's responsibility to collect or arrange redelivery. If you do not collect your parcel the Royal Mail will return it to us. This can take some time and we can do nothing further until the parcel arrives. It can then be re-delivered but you will be charged for the cost of re-posting.

All shortages or errors must be reported to us within 7 days of delivery. 
Please ensure that you enter your address correctly as the address label will be printed exactly as you have typed your address into the computer. It is especially important that you type in your post code using capitol letters. Using lower case letters means the Post Office will have to sort your parcel manually which will cause delays.

Royal Mail Special Delivery is available on all UK orders for an additional £8.00

European and International orders are sent via Royal Mail International Signed For with a fixed postage price of £10.00 for Europe and £14.00 for the Rest of the World, regardless of quantity, for parcels up to 1 kg. All International orders exceeding 1kg will be charged at cost. The website is set to charge a default price of £10.00/£14.00 for all International orders but we reserve the right to charge additional postage for orders exceeding the above weight limits. We will notify you via e-mail to let you know how much this will be.

For some destinations Royal Mail Standard International Postage will be offered at £7.00 or £8.00. This is an untracked and uninsured service with longer delivery times. This service is most suited for small orders of little value, which you are not in a hurry for and you choose it at your own risk. If your order is more valuable or you require it quickly then we strongly advise you to choose Royal Mail International Signed For, a fast, tracked and insured method. 

Most International orders must be signed for. Someone will need to sign for the parcel. If no one is in to sign for the parcel it will be returned to your Post Office, a card may be left if that is the procedure in your country. In this instance it is the customer's responsibility to collect from the Post office or arrange redelivery. If you do not do this the parcel will be returned to us and you will have to pay the postage cost again for it to be redelivered. All shortages or errors must be reported to us within 7 days of delivery.

Due to new regulations concerning flammable liquids on aeroplanes, nail polish and perfume can only be shipped to addresses in the UK. This is explained on every individual listing for nail polish and perfume on Cosmetics4less. If you are outside of the UK and you add a nail polish or perfume to your order your payment for nail polish and perfume will be refunded and that item removed from your order.

Delivery Schedule

Wherever possible, we will always dispatch all orders within 1-2 working days of receipt, however at busy periods dispatch time could be longer than this. If you are in a hurry for your order please call or email for an estimated currant dispatch time.

Free postage parcels will be sent 2nd class post. The Post Office aims to deliver first class post within 1-2 working days of posting and second class within 5-7 working days. However delays can happen. If you require your order for a specific occasion we strongly advise you to order in good time to avoid disappointment. If you are unable to order well in advance then we would advise you to choose the Royal Mail Special Delivery postage option which guarantees delivery within 1 working day of posting. But please note dispatch times remain 1-2 working days and may be extended at busy times.

International buyers can expect extended delivery times subject to location and postal service selected, a delivery estimate will be included in your dispatch email.

In the event that your order does not reach you in time for a specific date due to postal delays or transport delays delays caused by weather or any other Act of God, mechanical breakdowns, strikes or lockouts, war or terrorism or any other event beyond the control of Cosmetics4less, our liabilty is limited to a refund of your payment if you return your order within 7 days of reciept and the order is received by us in an unopened, sealed if applicable and fully resaleable condition.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock and back order is possible we will e-mail you and offer you this option, otherwise we will refund your payment.

Tax Charges

All orders include 20% VAT where applicable. If you are located outside the EU no VAT will have been added to your order.

Credit Card Security

The payment pages of Cosmetics4less are on the Sage Pay website and we do not see your card details at all, at any stage of the transaction. Sage Pay is a credit card service provider.

All transaction information passed between merchant sites, like Cosmetics4less, and Sage Pay's systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages sent to your servers from Sage Pay are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely assured that nothing you pass to Sage Pay's servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.

For hygiene reasons, we can only accept returns that are received unopened, unused in a fully sealed and resaleable condition. You must let us know within 7 days of receipt in writing, email is fine, that you intend to return an item.

Returns Policy

You can cancel your contract at any time up to 7 working days after the day of delivery. To do this you must notify us by e-mail us or write to us within 7 days of reciept. You will then receive a return authorisation, unauthorised returns will be reffered back to you. You do not have to give any reason for cancellation. However, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.

If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense, we strongly suggest you choose a tracked postage method or obtain a Post Office Certificate of Posting for your parcel. The goods must be in unopened, unused, sealed if applicable and fully resaleable condition. PLEASE DO NOT return items that are not in unopened, unused and fully resaleable condition as refunds will not be given. You will be asked to pay postage if you want the items sent back to you, otherwise the items will be disposed of. You must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage. We are unable to offer an exchange service so a refund will be given. If you require a different item a new order must be placed. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value. PLEASE NOTE, if your return takes the total of your order to below the £30.00 limit for free UK delivery, postage will be applied and deducted from your refund.

If you have received an item you consider to be faulty, incorrect or damaged in the post, please notify us by phone or email within 14 days, Under the terms of The Distance Selling Regulations 2001 you must return the item within 14 days and at your own expense, we strongly suggest you use a tracked postage method or obtain a Post Office Certificate of Posting for your parcel. However if your item is found to be faulty on return then we will refund the cost of returning the item to us at our discretion but we are not legally obliged to do so. If you are not in the UK or return is impractical for other reasons, a photo of the fault/damage may be considered sufficient at our discretion but we reserve the right to insist on a return. We are unable to offer a replacement service. Your free postage, if applicable, will not be affected by the return of a faulty item.

The colour of a product that you see on your screen depends entirely on the settings of your monitor and all browsers interpret colours differently. For these reasons shades shown on the internet can never be more than an indication. We would always advise anyone thinking of buying an unfamiliar product to try out a tester first if possible.
